The Meaning of Life As We Know It |
 Does your life have meaning?
If not, the first order of business in any holistic way of living is to define in your own heart the things that have meaning. If the list that forms in your mind, is mostly material goodsWhat I am saying is simply that between God and Earth are certain inalienable ties that give worth to the way we approach our own life view--if you listen to your belly so to speak (that deep gut feeling when you pull the veneer off the facades we put up to power our mojo), you tap into that commonality that binds us all to the experience that is universal to our existence.
In a nutshell what I am saying is first and foremost we must feel we are doing something significant, and perhaps even more so, be engaged in an endeavor somewhat beyond ourselves so as to touch with that commonality . From my 30 years living in the woods, I can attest to the feeling of uselessness when one gets too much within their own head, and lives accordingly--
Don't get me wrong--I still believe one should get alone often and retreat to God's wilderness for sorting one's thoughts. But, we must put those sterling ideas into play and influence the world that surrounds us. I know it seems dichotomous of me to have such a hi-tech lifestyle when trying to engender a simplicity to life view, but we must on all accords live with the world as it is.
I am at peace with the blending of these two worlds, at least for the time being, the struggle of making a living in the modern culture as we all need to, and the deep rooted connection to The Earth Mother for my soul. That said, I will be adding to these pages the things that I know, the keys to being a bohemian free spirit, holistic in lifestyle, regardless of the mode of, or location of one's place in life.
